This course emphasizes on the structure and energy of solid states. The topics will include structure of solids, new characterization methods and improved methods of characterization, non-stoichiometry, structure property relations, material design and reactivity of solid. By learning this course, students will be able to determine and apply the principles in solid state chemistry into the selections of materials for applications in industry. Thus, at the end of this course, depth knowledge on current solid state will be given.
