This course aims to expose students to the principles of ornamental fish culture management, history and status of ornamental fish industry. This course also provides an introduction to basic concepts related to aquarium sciences, species and ornamental fish diversity. Students will learn the biological aspects of ornamental fish such as male-female differences, morphology and maturity characteristics, breeding techniques, and larval rearing. Students will also be given specific knowledge on aquarium construction, filtration systems, ventilation, and decoration in aquarium management.  At the end of this course, students will be able to use practical knowledge and experience to decorate, build an aquarium, manage and breed ornamental fish.
