This course will focus on geological evolution of Malaysia and Southeast Asia that shape the condition of today's geological settings. The course will discuss the plate tectonic evolution, regional geochronology and depositional environments. In depth study of the past depositional settings, fossil evidences, biogeography evolution and stratigaphy correlation within the region. Further to this, the understanding of the regional geology will aid to understand the distribution of mineral deposits in the region.
